Program information
Sylvester Consultants Emergency Medical Technician Training Program is a comprehensive, entry level training course, designed to prepare students to successfully pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) written and psychomotor certification. To accomplish this, the course uses a mix of both classroom instruction and hand-ons clinical experiences.

155 Hours
The EMT program requires 155 hours of classroom instruction and training.
18 YEars
All applicants must be at least 18 years to qualify.
3 Months
It takes approximately 3 months to complete the EMT program.

The EMT employment rate is expected to grow 15% from 2016 to 2026.*

Requirements
In order to be eligible for the state EMT certification, students must meet the following requirements set by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts:

Be 18 years of age

Read, understand and communicate English
-
Be free from addiction to alcohol, or any drug
-
Be able to life 125 pounds
-
Be free from any physical or mental defect or disease which might impair his/her ability to provide emergency care within the scope of the EMT's training and responsibilities, or which might jeopardize the health of another member of the class
The student must also successfully complete the Basic EMT course including 100% attendance.
